Family Portrait

A hospital night frozen in red light.
The tiger and the rabbit wait, silent and distant.
Memory returns in pulses, not in order.
Muted blues, thin red lines, grief suspended.

The fetus glows softly, present in its absence.
Within the family portrait, I ask:
What remains after a loss never spoken?

Family Portrait is a 10-page autobiographical comic that explores grief and family through symbolic storytelling and the experience of time suspended in memory.
